Welcome to this Bluehost review.

Below you will find the transcription for the Bluehost Review video.

Welcome to the new and improved Bluehost review.
We just launched some exciting changes So we made this video to show you how things are.  Don’t worry all of your favorite tools are
still here.  We just made it easier to find and use.  For starters, we cleaned things up a bit.  Now instead of those old tabs, you will find
a simplified menu that makes a lot more sense.  Your control panel is front and center, and
we’ve added a new sub menu, that links to the tools you use the most, such as email or ftp.  Domains are easier to manage too.  Domains and all the tools you need are right at the top.  Bluehost has also added new account features.  My products, lets you see all your extra features at a glance.  And now you have the option of creating several
passwords for your account.  Each with different levels of access.  Make one just for billing and payments settings, or one for cpanel access only.  And of course , you always have the master
password, unlocking access to your entire account.  So, that’s pretty much it.  New services are added to your cart here and
if you ever need a hand, our help center is always located at the top so you can find it fast.  These Bluehost changes set the stage for many
exciting new features were announcing in the coming months.  So stay tuned and enjoy your new streamlined Bluehost  reviews.

  1. Bluehost is a SCAM. Why? Because when you cancel and delete your account they continue to bill you for additional products such as $24 for Site Lock service and they do not provide nor show any options online to delete or cancel it. YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM AND THEY STOP THE AUTO RENEWAL BY REMOVING YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. Just to remind you guys, this is a website hosting company that does not allow you to fully cancel services ONLINE and misleads you into thinking the account is actually DELETED and CANCELLED. RIPOFF SCAMMERS. STAY AWAY!!!

  2. Thank you for your review. Very eloquently written. 🙂

I however feel compelled to stick up for Bluehost’s Support, as it is the one area that you have [albeit moderately] criticised. As a new [relatively un-tech savvy] website owner looking to establish my first site, I turned to bluehost as my first step on the rung with their shared hosting package.

During my first few weeks, I encountered five major issues [all my fault] that for me [as an inexperienced new webmaster] were game-breaking ones, which left me feeling lost and completely out of my depth, not knowing how I was ever going to get my site working properly.

All five times I used Bluehost’s excellent 24 hour live chat support system, to help me out of my seemingly insurmountable situations. On each occasion, my support request was answered by a real person, and in under a minute! And three of these were in the early hours of the morning.

I cannot speak highly enough of the support I received. The chat service itself is wonderful in the sense that going by many of the staff usernames, they were likely working from a call centre on the subcontinent, which as many will understand, can make telephone communication very difficult in trying to understand different accents. This adds more frustration to the levels you already had from breaking your website. 😉 But with Bluehost 24 hour chat support, that problem is eliminated, as it is all text based.

All of their support staff I’ve dealt with have been extremely helpful, friendly and professional at all times. And endlessly patient with my untechnical self. On one occasion I did something that seemed a catastrophic mistake, as my site was broken, so I reached out for their support. Having been answered in around 20 seconds, and explained my issues, the kindly staff member asked me to hold on for a few minutes whilst they checked my site — returned and said “try it again now” — and to my delights, they had completely fixed it for me in about ten minutes! I expected them to come back to me and guide me through all manner of difficult things I’d have to do to fix it, but no, they just did it for me, jjust like that.

I am very grateful for Bluehost’s most excellent Support service, and give them my highest recommendations to anyone like me, who is just starting out, and needs a bit of quality and patient support whilst finding our feet in the world of web hosting.

Thanks for reading. And thanks again to Bluehost!

  3. I have been a Bluehost customer for 9 years and am finally fed up enough to leave. I have had good customer service over the years until the last one. It takes forever to get an agent on the line when your website is down again–this is the 2nd time in 4 days. The problem–the nameserver information was completely deleted. I had started hosting at another company that was much faster as I get a lot of traffic–but kept my nameservers hosted at Bluehost. If you want reliability find someone else. During my time with Bluehost I could count on a couple lost days per year with the website being down. It was costing me way too much money so I switched hosts–and now with take all of my other domains out as well.

  4. Bluehost is literally one of the top few that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. If you’re looking for a web host with a rock-solid reputation, then look no further than Bluehost. With cheap and scalable plans you are able to customize your own solution, and in just a couple of moments, you’ll be up and running. Bluehost is an absolute knockout of a web hosting provider – if you can grab the occasional sale (right now 50% Off), it’s an absolute no-brainer!
Thanks for reading this review on bluehost.

  5. I don’t know what their problem is. Most recently on Saturday September 24, 2016 at 11 PM we received SiteLock message. I contacted the terms of service department and Rick told me he would have to run a scan on our domains. I told him we were up to date on all extensions, etc. I sat on hold for a total of 45 minutes and Rick said he had no choice but to lock our sites down due to malware being found on our sites. He gave me a list of the files and I immediately tried to determine why and worked all night and found no problems with the files.

I emailed our web developer and was contacted by them at 10:30 Sunday morning. We were told they could find no problems after another 5 hours of research.

At around 2:30 Sunday I contacted Bluehost review terms of service again. I waited 35 minutes on hold. I asked the tech to scan one of our domains again. 30 minutes later she told me she scanned all of our accounts and there were NO problems. She pulled up the notes Rick left and said he obviously did not trace any of the possible errors because although Sitelock might think there were problems all of our coded properly addressed things including re-direct statements. She unlocked all of our domains immediately.

I began looking for a new host immediately. I have moved our sites to SiteGuard where we pay 1/4 of what we were paying.

I am sorry Bluehost is having so many problems but we can no longer receive the extremely poor service.

  6. There are plenty of exciting features and extras included at every price point, and the diversity of plans provides a lot of flexibility for every budget. Whatever your needs, Bluehost delivers regarding its packages.

Despite some negative feedback, the majority of customers are quite happy with Bluehost’s services. There is a reason that this company has such a strong reputation over 20 years of online business!

  7. Bluehost is literally one of the top few that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. If you’re looking for a web host with a rock-solid reputation, then look no further than Bluehost. With cheap and scalable plans you can customize your solution, and in just a couple of moments, you’ll be up and running.

  8. Customers who are looking for a reliable web host with a strong reputation. Bluehost is one of the oldest names in the business and has established trust.

  9. I’ve been a Bluehost customer for the past 3 years at the Plus web hosting level. I build WordPress powered websites and simple HTML/CSS/JavaScript sites. In that time I have never seen service go down long enough for me to notice it (so as far as I know, it never has!). Bluehost offers a lot of great baked-in features such as: CloudFlare integration, easy one-click installs for a wide range of common apps such as WordPress and Drupal via MojoMarketplace (previously known as SimpleScripts), easy creation of email accounts with help configuring you email client, easy setup of FTP accounts with help configuring your FTP client, easy setup of databases, a web-based file manager if you don’t want to use an FTP client, phpMyAdmin to manage your databases, and countless other features I haven’t used yet.

I’ve only been in touch with Bluehost customer service once, and that was to ask a really obscure question about PHP security for an article I was writing. I half expected them to brush me off since the question wasn’t really relevant to anything they were doing for me, but they didn’t. It took 2 or 3 minutes (which was totally ok based on how obscure my question was) and then came back with an intelligent answer and explanation. I was pleased.

I did not shop around when I originally bought hosting from Bluehost, and a couple of times I’ve thought to myself: “I really should check out some other hosting providers”. However, every time I do I come away unconvinced that there’s anyone else that offers a better setup for my hosting needs at a better price.
